Vanessa Urban

(All-Star HH Co-Director / Alliance HH Assistant) Vanessa Urbán began her training in dance at the age of 3, studying ballet, tap, jazz, and gymnastics. At the age of 12 she discovered her true passion for hip hop dance, joined the competitive company at Xtreme, and never looked back. From ages 12-21, Vanessa was an active member of Xtreme Dance Force, training under the instruction of Sam and JC Renzetti, Robert Lewis, and Alvin Ramirez. During her time on Xtreme’s competitive team, Vanessa received numerous awards with the company for small and large groups, lines and productions. She is also proud to have experienced winning four national Victory Cups with Xtreme. Since graduating from Xtreme in 2017, Vanessa has acted as an assistant co-director for the competitive team. In the Spring of 2020, Vanessa received their Bachelors in Music from North Central College and later received their Masters in Higher Education and Leadership in the spring of 2022 from the same institution. In addition to dance, Vanessa has a love for music and has participated in numerous vocal productions and competitions. Vanessa’s educational and professional goals are focused on Academic Advising and Recruitment in a higher education setting. With her passion for dance and music, and her awareness on the power of teamwork, Vanessa is excited to share her experiences with the next generation of dancers.

Hip Hop ( Ages 2-3)
You will find creative movement hip hop technique and skill development activities! For ages 2-3.

Hip Hop I (Ages 9-11)
Extensive warm-ups, strengthening and stretching are all a part of this class as Combinations are taught comparable to what you would see on MTV’s ABDC or Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. This class is for ages 9-11.

Hip Hop I (Ages 7-8)
Warm-ups, strengthening and stretching are all a part of this class as Combinations are taught comparable to what you would see on MTV’s ABDC or Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. This beginner level class is for ages 7 to 8.

Hip Hop I (Ages 12+)
This Beginner Hip Hop class is geared towards the older student who is at the beginner level. Warm-ups, strengthening and stretching are all a part of this class as Combinations are taught comparable to what you would see on MTV’s ABDC or Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. This beginner level class is geared towards ages 12 and up.

Hip Hop IV
Extensive warm-ups, strengthening and stretching are all a part of this class as Combinations are taught comparable to what you would see on MTV’s ABDC or Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. This Advanced level class is for ages 13 and up.

Hip Hop II (Ages 9-11)
Extensive warm-ups, strengthening and stretching are all a part of this class as Combinations are taught comparable to what you would see on MTV’s ABDC or Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. This Intermediate level class is for ages 9-11.
Requirements for Level II Classes:
Must have Teacher evaluation approval for the level.
